The underlying principle of the SCR Process is the use of "active" catalytic sites on which the reactant species are absorbed.
The absorption enables the combination of the reactant species at much lower gas temperatures than is required for uncatalysed reactions.
NOxProtekt SCR Systems are specifically designed and manufactured to cope with the harsh thermodynamic loading of continuous operation at fixed speed and the high impact transient load associated with power generation applications.
A poorly designed system could cause engine failure, downtime and expensive repair costs, that's why, before specifying an SCR System, our Team models the effects of the existing plant, including calculations of fluid flow dynamics and pressure drop effects to optimise the equipment specific to the individual application.
- NOx is reduced
NOx is reduced to harmless nitrogen and water vapour eliminating problems resulting from the generation of waste water or solution.
- Catalyst Longevity
The catalyst has a long life to provide a high NOx removal rate.
- Minimal Engine Modification
Installing an SCR System avoids extensive engine modifications greatly reducing costs and downtime
